HOW DID YOU GET INTO HAIR?

During high school I took Cosmetology as an elective and had so much fun! 31 years later I am still excited to come to work.

What do you love about doing hair?

I am definitely a people person. I love being creative and changing with the times. Seeing people happier about their look is a reward in itself.

How do you view your styling and coloring?

Styles including color are always changing. There again you have to keep up with the times. I found always having young people in your life helps you do that.

    • Anything you want your clients to know?

It's been and is an amazing journey that we (the stylists) and you (the clients) share. I see my clients almost more than family. Thank you for all the sharing of good and not-so-good times. We're all better people because of this human experience.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO HAIR?

In high school I felt that gaining knowledge of hair would combine extremely well with my strong interest in theatrical makeup. I attended Beauty School in Washington DC and took classes at The Redken Exchange in New York. While in Washington DC I worked at a local Hair Salon where I began building a strong clientele. As I was building my clientele I refined my techniques so I would be prepared to do both professional hair and makeup when I moved to Los Angeles. After moving to Los Angeles I went to the Cinema Make-up School to improve my hair and makeup techniques for film, t.v. and print. Currently, outside of

    • working at Divine Salon I also freelance doing professional makeup and hair for film, television and print. I love working in the salon and meeting new people every day. I couldn't ask for anything more!

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT DOING HAIR?

I love everything about being a Hair Stylist, Colorist and Makeup artist! I love meeting new people, building relationships and being creative on a daily basis! I'm naturally a very artistic person and doing hair and makeup allows me to freely express myself as an artist while helping my Clients look and feel more beautiful! One really simple reason that I love doing hair and makeup is that I am naturally very good at it! It's wonderful to love what one does for a living. I feel extremely fortunate to be able to say this from my heart.

    • Eden Shar is a naturally talented hair Stylist, she graduated at the Vidal Sassoon Academy, the youngest bling bling fashionista that Divine Salon ever had.

How did you get into hair?

Growing up I styled all my friend's hair for for all types of events. I was everyone's "go-to girl." My love for hair grew from there. After graduating high school, I attended Vidal Sassoon Academy, the most prestigious cosmetology academy in the country . My training focused on cut and color techniques, but my love for styling shows you my unique creative skills. I love to keep up to date with latest trends and am always switching up my look!

What do you love about doing hair?

I love expressing my creativity and love making people feel beautiful. There's nothing more satifying than seeing the person in my chair love the person they see in the mirror. It's my form of healing people.

    • How do you view your Styling and coloring?

I view my styling and coloring as a perfect fit for each individual person. From the moment any one walks through the door, I determine the perfect style and color based on your personality, your look, your energy, your skin tone, and of course hair texture ! I love to enhance my clients. I am here to do whatever compliments you best. "I cut the style, not style the cut!" ;)

Anything you want your clients to know?

I give a mean blow dry that'll last a week!

How did you get into hair?

I've always had a passion for doing hair but didn't get to pursue that passion until 6 years ago. I remarried 10 years ago and got to be a stay-at-home mom and when my son started driving I was able to go back to school full-time to get my Cosmetology License.

What do you love about doing hair?

I love making people happy. When my clients come in to get their hair done it's all such a pleasurable experience. We get to chat and get caught up since the last time they were in while they get the full treatment on their hair. Whether its covering gray, getting their color or highlights touched-up, a new hair style or just a trim, and to finish it off with a beautiful blow dry, they leave my chair

    • with a smile on their face. And to think that I get paid for doing this is a no-brainer!!!

How do you view your styling?

The style of someones hair can change their entire look. We've seen it in the movies where an actress has a completely different hair style and color from one movie to the next and we can hardly believe it's the same person. So in this profession, it is extremely important to listen to your client. Spend as much time on the consultation as needed. Everyone has one of those horror stories about going into a salon and coming out with something completely different than what they asked for. And when a client tells me they want 1/2 inch off the ends, I take 1/2 inch (not 3/4 of an inch)!!!

How do you view your coloring?

Hair color can also change someones entire look. As a stylist, I will suggest going a little lighter or darker or change the undertone of a clients hair if I think it will be more suited with their

    • skin tone. I look back at pictures of myself and for about 10 years with the same stylist I was way too blonde. I wish she would have suggested adding low lights or going about 2 shades darker and adding warm tones to my hair which would have look much better with my skin tone.

How did you get into hair?

I discovered a desire to do hair while getting my own hair cut. It seemed like a fun/artistic environment, and when I asked my stylist about it, he agreed, and said he never felt like he was working, just having fun. I was sold!

What do you love about doing hair?

Other than the creative side, there is a strong social side too. Some of my clients have been with me up to 30 years now. I've seen their children grow up, and have developed strong friendships. But what I love the most about doing hair is the look on a clients face, or the change in their body language when they leave feeling better about themselves.

Anything you want clients to know?

I have been a stylist for 30 years, and specialize in Color and Cuts both male a female. I have been a plattform artist for many International Styling teams, and have worked in salons from Beverly Hills to the San Fernando Valley. (where I live) I've done Television, Movies, Celebrities, and Models both on the set and photo shoots. But what I really like most is seeing the smiles on my clients, and starting new relationships. I hope I see you soon!

    • How did you get started?

I started getting facials at the age of eleven due to having acne as a young girl. I was always fascinated by the chemistry of products that helped my skin, and others skin, to change and heal. As I was an artist since I was really little, I decided to take my love for the beauty business into makeup artistry. I was blessed to assist celebrity makeup artist, Donald Simrock, for many years until going off on my own. Working with such celebrities as The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ciara, Eva Mendez, Carmen Electra, and Lady Gaga... I absolutely loved doing make up but soon longed to work more medically at the root of the problems which I had seen many models and actors struggle with. I attended esthetician school at The Aveda Institute in NY and truly fell in love with the science of skin and the impact treatments and products have. I then assisted celebrity dermatologist Dr. David Colbert, and knew at that point that what I wanted to was help women (and men) feel their best about their skin and appearance!

    • What Services Do you Offer?

I offer: Chemical peels, acne treatments, anti-aging treatments, scar reduction treatments, sensitive skin treatments, deep pore cleansing facials, head to toe waxing, 10 minute brazilian waxing, and brow shaping.

Anything you want your clients to know?

I absolutely love what I do!! I love nothing more than helping my clients achieve their skin care goals. It is an awesome experience to get to know someone over time while watching their skin get better and better and seeing them get happier and more confident because of it.

How did you get started doing nails?

I have always loved creating art and have been painting on canvas for quite some time. I couldn't afford art school so I chose to do nails because I could express myself and still make a living.

How do you view your style?

My style has always been flexible, so being creative I chose to do something different artistically, on a smaller canvas which I found inspiringly challenging

    Services I offer

Manicures, pedicures, nail art or basically whatever the client wants on their nails. I also do acrylic nails (pink and white and a variety of colored acrylic too), natural bio sculpture gel nails and nail art and hand painting can be added to any nail service. My personalized massaging pedicures have been received as relaxing and very soothing by all my customers. Also, they love all the neat little things I have done artistically with their nails.

Anything else you want your clients to know?

I live what I do and making sure that you are happy with your nails and feet is what I strive for. I want your experience to be nothing short of excellent. When you choose me as your manicurist I will give you the nail experience of a lifetime!
